Passion.
Terroir.
Wine.
The story of Biró Winery began in 2015, when we decided to make wines that honestly tell a story about the place of production, the vintage, and ourselves. For us, wine is not a recipe, but a process that begins in the grapevine – and in the cellar, it only requires attention, patience, and care.
We believe that good wine is born on the vine. We do not shape or embellish it with artificial means, and we do not want to “impose” our own ideas on it. Our goal is to preserve everything that nature has given us: the character of the soil, the microclimate, the uniqueness of the given vineyard. That is why we do not add anything to our wines – we only leave what is already there.

About me
Biró Wine - A unique journey with secrets
A few years ago I started to get more serious about viticulture, and when I felt the time was right, I founded my own winery. As a mechanical engineer leaving my career, I switched to the world of viticulture and winemaking in Pázmándfalu, in the Pannonhalma wine region – an area with excellent conditions for quality grape growing.
As a nature lover and person with deep respect for nature, it was never a question for me to do what I truly love and do it the way I think is right: grapes and wine. This principle led me to abandon my technical career and recreate the old family tradition – not in the place of the past, but in another wine region, built completely from scratch, on my own.
I follow a natural approach to winemaking. In the fermentation and maturation processes, I combine traditional methods with elements of modern technology in order to bring clean, characterful, high-quality wines to the table of consumers. From the vineyards spread on the slopes of the wine region, I not only make lighter wines typical of the area, but I also strive to create unique, artisanal batches every year - true wine specialties.
I reject the use of modern additives, relying more on my experience and natural processes. I consistently strive to maintain a natural balance through organic cultivation. As a result, my wines do not follow the internationally promoted, “streamlined” wine styles.
